I try hard to sell the good benefits of Alabama A&M instead of downgrading it, but being from bein in a HBC school you still have to put over 110% in your career. I noticed that some students had less than positive things to say about the school. The fact is, when you really get out there in graduate school and work you will come to appreciate what A&M put in you (that is, if you put in something). I have a PhD in biology and all of my experiences at A&M fostered my independence and ability to survive. Often undergraduates at majority institutions have a hard time and will have an even harder time if they continue on to graduate or professional school.
