The school's location is not beneficial to the progress of international students, it is a heavy military/defense technological region

College is what you make it. I try hard to sell the good benefits of Alabama A&M instead of downgrading it, but being from bein in a HBC school you still have to put over 110% in your career.

I wouldn't trade my Alabam A&M experience for anything in the world. I noticed that some students had less than positive things to say about the school. The fact is, when you really get out there in graduate school and work you will come to appreciate what A&M put in you (that is, if you put in something). I have a PhD in biology and all of my experiences at A&M fostered my independence and ability to survive. Often undergraduates at majority institutions have a hard time and will have an even harder time if they continue on to graduate or professional school. I teach college students now, and I truly appreciate the work ethic that was required as a student at A&M
