Calhoun is a great starter school for most students. If you come to class and do your work, you will not have any issues. There is no such thing as the perfect college. Teachers are helpful, educated, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure you pass.

Be prepared to figure everything out on your own. If you can ever get a faculty/staff member to respond to you, they still won't be able to help you. I would recommend going elsewhere if at all possible. I was duel enrolled this past semester at Calhoun and UAH. Any issues I had, UAH helped me within minutes. Not at Calhoun....I would have to send multiple emails and physically go up there to get a bunch of "I don't knows". And don't waste your time on online classes if you work full time. The teachers have no respect for working adults that want an education. They would open tests for just a couple hours while I would be at work and tell me oh well when I would tell them about it. In fact one actually said maybe this just isn't for you.

This college does not help you. The workers are rude and act like they don't even want to be there. No one really wanted to help me with my financial aid. Dropped my classes with no plans to return/
