If the administration would care as much about the morale of the professors and students half as much as they care about parking tickets and needless football stadium additions, JSU could be good. As it stands, it just sucks.

Quite Bright
I can't imagine going anywhere else. Nearly 10,000 students here. It has so many of the things you see at a big University, yet still feels like a comfortable smaller school. They boast on being the friendliest campus in the South and it's true! If you can't be happy and do well here, it's your fault. They give you a great education at a reasonable price, and treat you like a human being. Great place!

Not so bright
The people here are just fantastic. Faculty are very helpful is you just show the effort. You will learn and have the time of your life. I don't know of anyone who comes here and doesn't like it. There's something for everyone here. Don't let the lack of glitzy buildings and and old Southern small downtown area sour you on this little gem of a school.
