This is a primarily on-line school and that shouldn't fool anyone into thinking this is a third rate institution. Classes are rigorous, faculty are working adults and licensed in their fields who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their classes. Professors are involved as scholar-pratitioners. There is no outdated theories presented at all, but cutting edge, state-of-the-art thinking preparing students for success in their chosen field. It is also important to note, that unlike other institutions, they do not grab faculty out of their own doctoral gene pool, but are invested in leading through diversity of tradition and ethical, progressive practices.Although the school needs to improve its internet presence, remake its web site, and present a more national and global face to the world, this is a school worthy of the minds it is commissioned to edify.

Amridge University (formerly SCU) is an online, fully accredited institution. It is great for someone needing flexibility in attaining a degree. Many of the questions were not applicable to this type of school. Eighty percent of my professors are outstanding. One of the others was very poor and the other was below average. Given the distance between students and professors, I rarely felt out of touch. AU goes to great lengths in using the technology to emulate a live classroom experience.I had wished for some professors to engage in the discussion boards and hold students accountable for poor interaction and lack of thinking in their posts. Otherwise, it was an excellent experience and I would recommend anyone interested in a Christian liberal arts school with flexibility and a decent education to look into Amridge University.
