3rd yr nursing student and all of theSuper BrilliantNursing
3rd yr nursing student and all of the nursing classes are taught by multiple teachers - as many as 4-6 -- which is NOT conducive for learning as tests are inconsistent with the lectures -- wonder why; Samford did not tell us such during school visit; most nursing teachers are not helpful since they are part time and do not offer after hours class sessions for the confusion resulting from multiple teachers for a course. Take your parents hard-earned income and go elsewhere .

I am so thankful I got involved withAverageHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
I am so thankful I got involved with Greek life at Samford. If you aren't involved in something, especially Greek life, you will be bored constantly. The campus is boring, and there is absolutely nothing to do on weekends. The worst part about Samford is the poor facilities. Every dorm room I've ever been in is old and falling apart... This applies for both male and female dorms. The hot water doesn't work half of the time, there is mold all in the showers, and it is just overall disgusting. The bathrooms look like something out of the 50's, and they looks like they haven't been renovated or cleaned since the 50's, as well. Overall, classes are fine. They are challenging, yet you learn a lot. There is a lot of room for growth and professors that are willing to have a relationship with students in order for academic and personal success. I am actually transferring next semester. Samford isn't for everyone, and I guess it just wasn't for me. If you are coming to Samford, be prepared for a very small environment. Yet, if that is for you, then by all means go for it!

Literally do not come here if you areQuite BrightNursing
Literally do not come here if you are somewhat of a social person. This campus is full of people who were not so cool in high school and then this is their time to shine. Absolutely no social life. I am greek and some of our socials included plying "capture the flag." being greek means nothing here because you don't do anything socially. Girls are looking for their husbands here. Everyone I have talked to is physically on the look out for someone they can marry. Here I have met about 25 juniors and seniors that are engaged to be married. If you graduate from the nursing program, you will be staying in Birmingham, or the south. No one outside of the south really has ever heard of the school. The atmosphere is just weird here honestly, and if you are not a southern Baptist DO NOT COME HERE. I am catholic and people constantly try to convert me, not to mention we prayed before classes which I find a little odd. Please please please listen to me!! If you want a social life or normal college experience at all, don't come here!!!! I wish I never did and I'm trying hard to get applications in on time to transfer next semester.
