WELCOME

to the Troy State University Montgomery Home Page!

I hope you are looking us over because you, like some 15,000 alumni before you, want to complete a degree at Troy State University Montgomery. Before browsing further, there are a few things about us you need to know.

We are unique. We are the only university in Alabama where the predominate number of courses are taught in the evening. And, if you need to, you can take classes on the weekend or at lunchtime. You can even take courses through television and/or establish individual learning contracts whereby you work at your own pace with faculty assistance. Our average student age is 29. This means our entire institution is geared toward assisting the adult learner. We understand the demands of working full-time and attending the university at night. At TSUM, adult evening education is our mission and is foremost in all we do, not an afterthought to a day program.

There is a secret to why we do so well. It is the dedication of faculty and staff to making sure each student receives individual attention. Each of the last five years, the students at TSUM have rated their satisfaction with the faculty as between 92 and 95 percent - an "A" in anyone's report card. So please look us over. During any of our academic quarters, over 900 different companies in the Montgomery area have employees attending TSUM. In this regard, it is important to remember that what you learn at TSUM, you can use on the job the very next day.

Continue to explore our website, call us, or just drop by. Any of us at TSUM will be glad to talk with you about the kind of education you want and help you craft a personal learning plan that meets your needs. TSUM is a great place to get connected!

Best wishes!
