Sometimes I feel like I'm in jr. high all over again, that's how immature students are. Greek life is obnoxious. They are so rude and inconsiderate! I have made a whopping 3 friends, 2 live off campus. Classes are fine. I almost always feel isolated and alone, going to class is the only time I'm ever happy (I'm typically a very happy person). There is nothing to do on campus if you don't party. I have never gone out, for me the most exciting a Friday night gets is Cold Stone and homework. Bottom line, if you aren't Greek, your life will suck. Out of state students, before you get in your car and drive 11 hours to get here, don't. This school is awful don't come here. Alabama's is good no doubt but it is different going to the South in general. People are a little fake here, putting on a smile when really not everything is ok. So the score alabama got on this website is a little overinflated. The Greek system is big here. Big. I guess it's like most other campuses, but most parties occur at frat houses so if you're interested in non-Greek sponsored parties, you got to make your own.Furthermore, most people expect everyone here to be from Alabama. There's nothing to do here. You don't have to study much to get good grades; classes are easy. UA is supposed to be a cheap State School. Make no mistake, It's not. When you get here they do everything possible to nickel and dime you to death. Expensive books, Parking Tickets (everyone gets them - trust me), Student Fees, etc. At least there's a decent party scene. I feel like I've been drunk for three years.
