Hendrix Odyssey: Engaging in Active Learning (it's not just a
slogan). It's a real program created to recognize the fact
that at Hendrix your education extends beyond your major, your
GPA, and the courses you’ve completed. Our motto “unto the
whole person” says it all. You’ll grow and mature here,
intellectually, spiritually, and personally, not just through your coursework, but
also through many other activities and accomplishments. Through
Your Hendrix Odyssey, you’ll earn official transcript recognition for active
learning experiences of all kinds, both in class and outside
of it. You’ll also be recognized at our annual
day-long campus-wide celebration of active learning, held during spring semester.
There are six different options from which you choose at
least three to create Your Hendrix Odyssey: Artistic Creativity, Global
Awareness, Professional and Leadership Development, Service to the World, Undergraduate
