Admittedly I was a student thirty plus yearsHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
Admittedly I was a student thirty plus years ago. But I have used the skills, and learning there successfully all these years and I got everything out of the experience that I expected and hoped for. I am still employed in the field I set out for and plan to retire in that same field. Because the cost was reasonable I had no debt at graduation, was able to attend grad school and move into my career.

Question
What a complete waste of money, ualr doesn'tQuite BrightFinance
What a complete waste of money, ualr doesn't care about the students and just looking for a check and a way to pay the debt they owe, the teachers are unqualified, verbally aggressive, unhelpful, disrespectful, but still remain because the faculty and staff members lets them get away with it, to keep a fake perfect reputation, don't even waste your money or your time.

Question
With a dangerous surrounding area, UALR is notBrightComputer Science
With a dangerous surrounding area, UALR is not a school that I would recommend. The coursework is fairly easy, what you would expect from a state school. The university seems to be more concerned with making the school look good, and building new buildings as opposed to improving education. The math department in general is terrible, expect all classes to be taught by graduate students. Another problem with the math department is the fact that even if you take an on-site class, you will be expected to do all coursework online. Engineering in Information Technology (computer science, information assurance and information systems) faculty is above grade, insofar as the rest of UALR faculty is concerned, very helpful. Given the choice to start over, I would not even consider this university.
