In many ways, the successful ASU experience isSuper BrilliantSocial Work
In many ways, the successful ASU experience is a reflection of an individual's confidence, efforts, and assertiveness. One gets what one goes after. It is much like life. If you sit back and want everything spoon fed to you then this is not the right university for you and maybe a trade or vocational school is something you should consider. If your spirit is not entrepreneurial and you want to go work every day and be told exactly what to do, then ASU is not the right university for you. However, if you are willing to think creatively, standup, and speak out, then this might be the right place for you. To be successful one needs to learn to be a responsible adult and take ownership of each situation that is presented both on and off campus. Excuses don't work in life and they don't work at a major university. For me, it is a wonderful school in most every way.

ASU is a great place to go to school. First, you are in Downtown Tempe, which is a great place. There is so much to do, from clubs and bars, to great places to eat or relax. Phoenix is a wonderful and dynamic city as a whole - just stay out of Mesa. The school has great architecture (although some buildings, the Social Science Building, needs to be torn down and rebuilt).

The night life is great! You are never bored on a Saturday night. Students are friendly and fun, proffs are quite good as well. Some are a pain to get a hold of, others live for their students. It's not the most difficult coreswork, but still challenging.

This is a great school, esp. if you are from out of state. You can't beat the weather, the Phoenix area, the social life. And by the way, 110F isn't that bad! It sure beats the humidity of my home town.

You get what you put in. Yes, its a pretty easy school and you could probably get by without a whole lot of effort, but if you really want a good education you can find it here especially with the upper division classes.
