 | Quite Bright | Attending NAU was one of my best experences ever. I continue to return to Flagstaff on vacation to visit my old profs., the engineering college, meet up with my old study buddies, and visit the city. If you like the out doors, you will be blown away by all the activities this town has to offer. | Campus Aesthetics: A+, Collaboration/Competitive: B | | | |

| | Bright | | Coming to NAU overall has been a great experience. Being from out of state I was a little bit worried how it would work out. I looked at a number of schools, but after doing college vists NAU was by far at the top of the list. The students and faculty were very friendly, and it was easy to make friends. Most of the chemistry deparment staff all genuinely care for the success of their students and are very helpful. I've lived in a dorm for 2 years now and have yet to have any real problems with it. A lot of my closer friends are people I met in my dorm freshman year. Living on campus can be a plus in the winter, because then you don't really have to worry about driving in snow or whatever weather conditions could come up. To me coming to NAU was a better choice than the school I would have gone to that is in-state. | Education Quality: A+, Social Life: C+ | | | |

| | Bright | NAU really can't be described in a couple hundred words but in short. This school is great for anybody who wants to come up here to have fun, meet new people and have a friendly surrounding. Everywhere you go around campus there will be people waving and saying hi and greeting you whether its student or faculty. It truly is one of most friendliest schools. The social life here is great - If you like to stay in on the weekends and watch a movie with some friends there will be a definite opportunity to do that or go to parties you will also have many chances to do that. The academics are really underrated compared to other instate schools because of the mass advertisement that ASU and UofA does, but the one clear advantage that NAU topples the competitors is that the prof-student ratio. You will know your prof and it will help you so much in the short/long term whether if you need help on your homework, refs to a job, scholarships or internship opportunities it will be easy because almost all profs on campus are friendly and very approachable. You aren't just another number, you actually build relationships with the teacher which is better than what people perceive the college teacher student relationship is. NAU is a hidden gem once again and if you do get the opportunity to come here, i HIGHLY recommend you take a campus tour to find out for yourself. The cons of flagstaff is simply the snow, if you can deal with the snow (which isn't all too bad and you do get used to it) NAU will be the best place ever. It some times gets in the way of what your doing but for the most part its defiantly an experience that will last.Once again go on a campus tour to really discover NAU, and see if it is the right place for you!! | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Useful Schoolwork: B | | | |
