The advising at NAU is horrible for majors in Social & Behavioral Sciences. The staff in this Advising department do a terrible job, lose paperwork, don't have any clear method, and are not held accountable. They have been a joke for many years and NAU's administration has yet to step up and take control. If you have another major you're probably fine...but everyone in SBS struggles to get a reasonable advisor.

I loved NAU, this was the best experience of my whole life. The town is beautiful the city if full of fun things to do, beer festivals, outdoor concerts, snowboarding, camping, great restaurants, parades, fairs and more. College is what you make of it, I got to NAU went out and met people, spent time off campus and downtown and loved is so much I stayed for 2 1/2 years after graduation. The school is safe and fun and I have met the best people ever while attending NAU.
