I had first seen an ad for theQuite BrightDesign Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
I had first seen an ad for the La Jolla Academy of Advertising Arts in San Diego, CA (later known as The Advertising Arts College) in Ad Age magazine. I applied and was accepted. This school has given me a more well rounded education in Advertising, Marketing, PR and Graphic Design than the university I had left in order to attend. The school was unfortunately eventually sold to a chain, the art Institute. Those who are seeking a similar education today can probably get close with the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. I learned so much at this school, It was a once in a lifetime experience all around. The faculty, all professionals in the field, were at the top of their game, and definitely knew how to challenge the students The hands on education, designing for real clients, provided us with a solid basis of real life experience.

And who can forget the client presentations... talk about nerve wracking! It was definitely an AWESOME educational experience, Curriculum included:Marketing, PR, Principles of Design, Typography. Advertising, Art techniques, Photography, Field trips, actual clients.

This was the bestOther
This was the best school ever. It used to be called LJAAA, The La Jolla Academy of Advertising Arts, back when it was still located in La Jolla, CA. moved to a larger facility around 1990.

Sold to a chain.Gary Cantor sure was an awesome director!
