Such a bad school, I have no idea why people think it is such a great school. It is a business filled with bureaucrats! Please avoid this school at all costs! I skipped three years of high school for this? Nope, I am transferring!!!

Super Brilliant
The Academy regards it's students as cattle. Students are often berated and belittled to a pulp, then the next batch of money bags -I mean, students- will come in, leaving only the subservient and subdued ready to molded into corporate "creatives". I was even told by my admissions advisor that a bulk of the students would be gone by the end of the first semester, which as projected, actually happened. Although, she said that it would be due to "the rigorous academic curriculum", but that seemed to not be the case, as most of the students leaving or transferring were some of the best. Living in the dorms, I noticed a lot of my peers getting over-penalized for "typical college antics", almost expected art student behaviors, by the school's "zero tolerance policy", and some of those students were kicked out of the dorms, which affected their studies, and eventually led to their dismissal. Some students even became homeless after their dorm situations. It's been a year since I transferred schools, and since then, I really regret wasting my time and money at AAU.

The instructors are extremely unprofessional - answering a comment with "Yo", not explaining the assignment properly. If you really want to make it in the photography business this school will only end up crushing your dreams.
