| Not so bright | i've heard that the current president is raising tuition & firing employees in order to gain money to build a research library. apparently it is a library designed by ghery and although nothing has been built, the school is already in the red b/c of it. student facilities have not improved at all but tuition has gone up up up. all b/c some old crusty museum dude who runs the school wants to leave a legacy. sad. ask around. word on the street is that art center teachers dont get tenure and are only concerned with getting hired again the next semester. so...they are always pissed and take it out on the students. lots of unhappy people there - my life is too important to squander it in some outdated, behind the times, bush regime run place - all for $50 K a year too. please. the art center name is thinning on street cred. | Preparedness: F, Reputation: F | | |

| Quite Bright | I attended ACCD as a Photography major and Graduated in 2001. While I feel that the technical education was excellent. And at that time there were a couple of teachers that had the experience to take students under the wing, once graduating from this school I was on a track, that didn't allow me to make any money. I am considered a somewhat successful photographer at this point, shooting fashion photography with an agent in NY and Paris, however, unless you have family money that can support you for the ten years or so that it will take to start making consistent money, or you are willing to shoot product, or weddings; think about going in another direction!!! I am going back to school now to get my masters, and hopefully in an area that can support my creativity and my modest lifestyle. Good luck to you all. | Starting Job: Photographer, Preparedness: D+, Reputation: D | | |
