I don't think this survey really fits the needs of our school in this situation. I do not care about the extra-curricular activities, or the "social life" of art center. What I do want to be ensured is that The school keeps its good name, and stays in a competitive tone. I did not come here to enjoy the perks of a nice liberal arts school, I came primarily to gain skills, and an added bonus was to make network connections in my field.

You get what you put into it. Don't go because you feel Art Center will get you a job. Go because you want to learn your trade, and in the end, you will get just that.

I received a Bachelors of Science degree with honors in environmental design from Art Center. I paid over $150,000 for what turned out to be a community college education. The curriculum was a mess, the teachers were disgruntled, the administration was completely consumed with politics and the facilities were pathetic. The administration is still a shambles five years after I graduated!

Art Center did a lousy job of preparing me for a design career. By the time I realized this school was a scam (my third term out of eight), it was too late - I was already on the hook with Sallie Mae for over $35,000. So it was either quit 1/3 of the way through, pay back the money and have nothing to show for it, or speed through and get a degree. I would have been better off taking a $200 AutoCAD course and getting an entry level job at a design firm. Knowing what I know now, I would NEVER make the mistake of attending Art Center again. It was a colossal waste of time and money.

Art center will work you to death. no lie about that. Too many sleepless nights to count, and i have to say at least a jililion redbulls just to stay awake to finish projects that will be critted with the fury of an angry god. i learned to much while there.
If you're someone thinking of getting in, think real hard and make sure you're sure about it. accd's got an intense environment that's sure to nearly kill you if you don't know how to manage your time, etc.
