It isnt that hard to get into. But they want serious people as students.
Most students their are friendly, but you always have some people who you never get along with.
With the course I took, their was some great hands on experence that we had the oppertunity to deal with and whean you get close to graduateing thier is a good amount of internship oppertunitys, after all Hollywood (Paramount, Unaversal, and many other movie production companies) are no more thean a 40 min drive.
My advice is to take that time make impress someone in the field your studying in, after all you want a job after graduateing dont you?
Like most schools, their are some professers who treat you well and others who act like your gum under their shoe or talk like if you should know everything already, yet their are several who are easy to get along with and really want you to sucsead.
Campus safety, Use your judgement, its in pretty much downtown LA, not the safest place to be wondering around after midnight by yourself.
Overall if your serious about your carrer here, this school will be good to you, but as always do your homework on colleges first.
