Super Brilliant
I would not suggest going to this college, especially if given the chance to get into another one as students and faculty are unhelpful and quite violent. However, if you wish to stay in your own house, this is not a terrible choice, as it does offer some (however limited) education.
Friendliness: D, Education Quality: F

Quite Bright
AVC has a reputation for being a school that people go to because they either could not get accepted anywhere else or they could not afford another school.I believe this is true because most people I've met here seem very unhappy about the school. The student body is very unfriendly and they make the school seem like the 13th grade. Everyone is either part or a social or racial clique or they are loners. It is very hard to make friends here... if not impossible. The people who socialize together knew each other before they came here.
The academics are what you make of them. If you study... you'll pass with a good grade. I actually found all of my classes to be fairly easy, except Math. Most of the teachers give tests on Scantrons, multiple choice, fill-in-the-circle, computer graded papers. Sometimes this is a good thing because it makes it easy to guess, but sometimes the choices are so similar that you fail a test you would otherwise pass. All of the teachers that I met so far are friendly, well-educated,and more than willing to help you succeed in their class. However, attending class can be painful because (1) the majority of the students are too intellectually challenged to participate in a class discussion or they think they are too cool to act smart and (2) when the teacher asks questions the one smart person in class (usually me) ends up answering everything. The college actually offers a few honors classes for the 'gifted' students, but you have to go through at least one semester with 3.6 GPA to enter.
As for the campus, it is neither beautiful nor ugly. There are several grassy spaces with big trees, but the buildings are sad looking. Although there are always people handing around, there is really nothing to do here. No extra-curricular or social activities, except for a few pathetic cheer leading and musical demonstrations. The food is bad... the chicken sandwich is the only edible option. The bookstore under orders supplies. The library is definitely lacking in resources. The staff is helpful, only you ask. All in all, most people leave the campus as soon as their last class is over.
I really would not recommend this college to those who would want a good education. The classes are sometimes too easy and you pass with and 'A' even if you did not learn anything. The peer pressure makes you feel like you have to be stupid to fit in. Nobody really likes it here. If you have the opportunity to go somewhere else, don't hesitate like I did. If you have to go here, try your best to get good grades and transfer out as soon as possible!!!
Faculty Accessibility: A+, Useful Schoolwork: F

This school's administration has an
"us-vs.them" mentality. Any way that anything can be conspired against the student is immediately acted on.
