Positive Negative Neutral Advice
While I enjoyed the campus itself and beingQuite BrightPhysics
While I enjoyed the campus itself and being able to hang out with my friends, it really sucks being out of state. I felt like I was treated unfairly because of the fact my parents refused to fill out any FAFSA paperwork. I could've gotten an unsubsidized loan or something but financial aid made me get all of the paperwork that took almost six weeks. I had to keep running around and my advisor was never available. I am a physics major and there's only three total. Once I got all of my paperwork, I still had to keep fighting them about getting aid because they refused to help me. I was also given the number for the school's ombudsmen but I couldn't get a hold her either. Then all of a sudden I get this massive $8000 hold on my account that suspended me from getting classes. Tried getting it fixed and pretty much had to drop out of school to work because a hold won't let you get classes. As much as I liked being there, it put too much stress for an out of state college freshman to deal with.

Question
Honestly, this is a bad school.Average
Honestly, this is a bad school. Poor infrastructure, councilors are not helpful, food at the school cafeteria is mediocre and people are not so friendly at this university. People that play sports at this university are stuck up. School spirit doesn't even excise at this university. I live on campus in the new dorms. Dorms are nice. The problem with the dorms ? over priced for this city. You are much better off renting a house with few of your friends. Gym is very nice. There's almost no parties at this school, unless you enjoy attending sasugage party with couple over weight women in the group. School sports teams suck and the only ones that play good..Baseball and maybe the soccer team. The worst part about the school sports team ? A lot of the sports player feel like elite humans at this school, lol. I do not recommend for anybody to be transferring to this low quality school. Pick a different CSU. I made a mistake of coming here.

Question
This has to be one of the worstQuite BrightPreMed and Medical
This has to be one of the worst schools anyone could attend in the nation. I already hold a BA degree. Going back to school after 10 graduating (from a different school). I am just trying to get my premed prereqs for medical school. I would do whatever work is necessary to achieve an A in all classes. Since I tried to enroll here, right up until the end of my first semester (now), the administration has been incompetent at every level. From admissions, to student financial services, to advising, to biology dept, to graduate student center, etc etc etc. Every single office I have visited has been unhelpful. I feel like I am getting treated like a number and not a person. Every position in administration is filled by an incompetent, unintelligent, uncaring, or inexperienced employee. CSUB has time and time again messed things up, from my transcripts, to fees charged, to prereq waivers, etc etc etc. I am amazed the college can manage to get anything done at all. I haven't been able to enroll in classes that I need. no one has been able to meet with me concerning my needs for weeks. Everyone acts like there is nothing they can do to fix their own office's or other office's mistakes. I just get the runaround. The only reason I am continuing on with my education here next term is because it is the ONLY college in town (unless you count junior college). The headaches and frustration from dealing with the utter incompetence of this university have been distracting me from my studies, and taking up my valuable time running around trying to put out the fires they are causing. If you can go to school elsewhere then please do so. THIS IS A BAD SCHOOL!
