 | Quite Bright | This place is like a damn high school all over again. The people running this school are idiots and they don't know anything that goes on and they profile you for the rest of your days there if you ever get written up, even for the stupidest things. IF you get in trouble there once for having alcohol or anything they will purposely and unfairly prosecute as they see necessary. Their public safety only makes you feel less safe because they spend more time making sure everyone has a proper parking pass than looking for actual danger. They have never once stopped a mugging or anything near Chapman and one time they ran over a student crossing the crosswalk and then left. | Campus Aesthetics: A, Education Quality: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | PROS:
-Facility is knowledgeable (at least in Business/Econ)
-Students tend to be friendly and speak intelligently
-Nearly everything is within walking, skating, biking distance
-School occasionally serves free food
-You can get to know your professor well if you so choose
-Attractive women
-Undie Run during finals week
-Greek Life is decent
-"Damp" campus (you can have alcohol on campus if you're 21+)
Now for the fun part.... CONS:
-Orange police will roll EVERY SINGLE PARTY and give you a $400 misdemeanor without warning
-Everything is extremely expensive... even the shitty coffee
-No Greek Row or Greek Housing
-Orange locals are unintelligent and arrogant
-Local Hispanics steal everything
-Not enough dorm housing
-Gym is terrible
-Sports are terrible (probably a result of the gym)
-Campus food is awful
-Some majors purposely lower grades (Business included)
-High school for 18+ -Bars are disgusting If you're looking for the best college experience, you won't find it here. USC is a way better deal for the same price. The requirement are relatively the same. If you are fine with being the person that's just "meh", don't need a social life, and content with an outrageous tuition charge for decent teaching, Chapman is the place for you! Go Panthers!... This place has gone downhill. | Campus Maintenance: A, Friendliness: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | | I am transferring from Chapman University after this semester. I came in as a Film Production major at Dodge and really enjoyed the classes I was taking and the opportunities that I had already being about an hour from LA. I was lined up for an internship with a successful music video director who is a Dodge graduate. That was before I realized that Chapman was not the place for me. I came here for the film school, but outside of Dodge, I am far from impressed with the quality of education at Chapman. The professors are either new and inexperienced or old, whacky, and tenured. I feel like each class became a game of how to get an A with little focus on applying the course material in order to prepare for the future. I wanted to double major with my film production BFA, but the unfocused teachers and even less focused students drove me out. I want to be surrounded by people who are serious about learning, enjoy talking about what they are learning, and understand how important it is for their futures. I'm tired of hearing "Let's hit the pool or the beach" - everything here, as you would expect at an extremely attractive school in Southern California, is based off of image and status. Quintessentially superficial and super cliquey. Also, good luck finding housing after the first year. Chapman pretty much kicks you off campus. And get ready to be written up because not all, but definitely some RA's, public safety, and especially the local community are out to get all your partiers and dank smokers. And there's been loud construction going on ever since I first got here in August. It seems like Chapman is more concerned about spending tuition money on new buildings to sustain their perfect image than about the future of their students. | Innovation: A+, Social Life: B- | | | |
