I am a disabled student when attending LBCC had a problem with an Instrctor the course was a basic power point class had some problems with the course the person Hackenthorne berated me and also stated that "I could not follow directions! Right in front of everyone I was made the butt of jokes now tell this is College not High School! They also talked about me I have reported the matter to the Dean of the computer department nothing happened went to DSPS to seek help signed a wait list went back to check then was told that the list was invalid there was no one there to help I had e-mailed my consulor did not get a return replay I had to keep calling through the summer and into fall very little help came I thought that when one is College a person should be past all of this High School bull shit!

It is a very poor school, I heardNot so brightInterior Design
It is a very poor school, I heard the instructor is not in the professional level, which means she didn't graduate from university in the field, and only 2 instructors are teaching interior design program. one part time, another teach all others. You are going to see the same face everyday. yuck!!

LBCC Pacific Coast Campus.Quite BrightPublic Health
LBCC Pacific Coast Campus. This school is the in the middle of a drug invested community, prostitution, drug activity, and many other terrible elements. There are several hotels surrounding the college including one directly across the street which houses prostitutes and drug addicts/dealers.

When using the gym be careful most of the people in there are from prison and act like it while using equipment. This is a very uneducated low income area and the teachers cater to the poor so most of what is taught, is at the 3rd grade level, treat all students as though they are in that same category, and are in favoritism of the low life's that attend this college. maybe out of fear. Talk in an uneducated manor to make themselves feel part of. If I had a dime for every time an instructor talks baby talk or like they are talking to children I would be able to pay for my own tuition.

Most of the Human Service staff have some type of neurotic behavioral trait and should be placed on meds. They tend to make their own rules and as they go. Ask us to do an assignment and when we turn it in they say they never told us to do it. Tests are mixed up and given for other classes. How I found this out is I took a test in one class the instructor gave us and in his other class I was also attended, he gave us the same test totally unrelated to that class and expected us to take it anyway! This is not just one instructor it is several. Parents please be aware of where you send your child to community college, something severe could happen while they attend a college like this one. If you need to take them out of this area do it! Even if they must ride the bus extra miles to go to a good college. This one is not worth the money and your child will not be educated properly.
