I cannot stressed how pleased I am with myself for choosing LMU. I remember being so nervous when I first decided to come here, not knowing if it was the school for me, and reading over this website everyday just to make sure. I think that it's safe to say that most people have a place at LMU, they just need to find it. I easily found my place there, as people were are very friendly the first few months and are eager to meet other people.
I was nervous about the classes, but I found most classes to be very reasonable and not too difficult.. the professors are for the most part great people and are all willing to work with you. I started out as an accounting major.. decided it wasn't for me and I'm now thrilled to have switched to the economics department. Finding LMU is one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I couldn't recommend it more, trust me, you can't go wrong with this school.

LMU is a great school and in fact quite underrated. No campus can compete against the beautiful aesthetics of LMU and bluff view. A new impressive library is currently being finished. Overall, LMU offers quality education and should definitely be looked into.

I came to LMU with a lot of kids from my high school, so I've always felt comfortable here. I live about 2 hours away from home, but I honestly never go home. I love it here and I wouldn't want to waste a weekend. The people here are so friendly and very approachable. I made friends instantly, and I now call them my best friends. I know people that have transferred because they didn't give LMU enough time, and now they want to come back. It is definitely a good place to be.
The more you put into your education and social life here, the more you will get out of going to a school like LMU. Although it is small and athletics are not advertised, there are plenty of ways to get involved. Greek life is very popular and the chapters here are very diverse. Even if you can't imagine yourself in that kind of scene, you should still give it a shot. The sororities and fraternities respect eachother here, so it never feels like a competition. Service orgs are also very popular and selective when it comes to admission.
For the most part, the teachers are truly concerned with your progress in their class and will make themselves available for extra help if needed. There is also free tutoring available through departments and through the school as well. Although some classes are very challenging, there is no reason why one would fail a class, due to all the extra help. LMU makes sure you get at least 5 classes in a semester to be considered a full time student. They WANT you to graduate on time.

Things I like about LMU:
-Small class sizes
-Beautiful campus
-It's in Los Angeles
-Most of the students and professors are friendly
-Good environment
-Beaches and warm weather
-Very close to LAX airport, so easy to travel if need be
-Good looking student body

Things I dislike about LMU
-Not on the same tier as UCLA, USC or Pepperdine
-No football team
-Students are pretty conservative and closedminded
-Limited extracirculars
-Everyone goes home on the weekend
-People don't take advantage of all the opportunities available in L.A.

Overall:
Freshman year was somewhat rough, but I've loved it since. You can't beat the location, weather and size. Once your older and off campus, it gets better.
