Pepperdine- the beautiful campus overlooking the ocean! Stop there. This is an elite school. If your are not a believer in the Church of Christ or you are not wealthy or you do not have a connection to get in. Your chances of admission are slim. The school prides itself on the "haves" not the "Have Nots". Parents can call and discuss there students. For get about the privacy law, almost non existent(maybe some of the faculty isn't aware of it). If you are looking for a genuine college experience don't go to Malibu- not available,if you want to rub elbows with stars and live in non reality this is the place for you. Academics are easy so this is a plus !

Here's the deal. Only come to to Pepperdine if you are all of the following: Conservative, Christian, not interested in even a moderately wild social life.

I heard about all of these issues before attending, but took them all with a grain of salt. I am of the mentality that a place is what you make of it, and have honestly done this to the best of my abilities here. Now, a semester in, I plan on running as far away from this sheltered version of expensive summer camp as soon as I can.

My biggest issue is that no one has an open mind about anything. Students and faculty. Everyone has the same perspective, and no one has any desire to explore other schools of thought. Unique prospective is so valuable in business today, and Pepperdine certainly wont train your mind to think in such a manor.

Honestly, some people love this place. But they're conservative, devoutly religious, and most would rather watch a movie in their dorm every Saturday night than attend a party (which by the way, if you do come here and try to party, know that every party is at least a 15 minute drive away. I wish this was an exaggeration).

Please do not come here if you don't fit perfectly into the above description. Please. It blows.Oh but one good thing for guys. The girls are all unbelievably attractive.
