I cannot believe those positive comments and advice messages that were posted for Pepperdine. They sound as if someone in the Pepperdine administration had a few free minutes on their hands (as many do) and decided to put up some pro-Pep propoganda on the Internet. Pepperdine is a "university" that is made up of rigid, overly-exclusive groups of people. Most are arrogant while a few are simply unhumanly shy. Close-minded is a better euphemism for the students rather than barely-minded. The academic standards are a joke and the student body's inclination toward academic scholarship is zero to none. The stereotype that Pepperdine is a university with a bunch of rich kids who do not care about grades and are simply going to take over their parents' businesses after grduation is not too far from the truth. The administration spends the outrgeous tuition fees disproportionately and does not care about student feedback. The president makes over $250,000 annually while the main library is archaic by all standards. Racism and religious discrimination are underlying problems that are implicit in the student culture. The term "dumb blonde" finds meaning most appropriately here in Malibu at Pepperdine. Finally, the university monopolizes the food options, leaving students with high-priced low-quality food. Recommendation for California residents: Avoid Pepperdine and stick to a public university even if you have to attend a junior college for one or two years first!

Super Brilliant
Great university. The beauty around the campus is unreal. You constantly see deer, squirrels and other animals. Challenging Premed program. Teachers are very accessible and willing to work with you. Have to join a frat/sorority to have a socal life. There are several good club sports and intramurals. Have to drive to get to the beach. Short school year. Get out April 27th. Is the $ worth it? The school year needs to be longer.

Quite Bright
Pepperdine- the beautiful campus overlooking the ocean! Stop there. This is an elite school. If your are not a believer in the Church of Christ or you are not wealthy or you do not have a connection to get in. Your chances of admission are slim. The school prides itself on the "haves" not the "Have Nots". Parents can call and discuss there students. For get about the privacy law, almost non existent(maybe some of the faculty isn't aware of it). If you are looking for a genuine college experience don't go to Malibu- not available,if you want to rub elbows with stars and live in non reality this is the place for you. Academics are easy so this is a plus !
