Positive Negative Neutral Advice
This will be my first year at RCC.AverageBusiness - Management and Administration
This will be my first year at RCC. I previously took a course at Fullerton and the difference in pretty much EVERYTHING is stark!! The faculty are NEVER available. They do not answer phones, they do not care if you have been waiting in line forever to speak to a counselor, they'll dismiss you without another chance. You have to wait a LONG frickent time to see anyone to help you get a career plan. What I've done, is sadly taken the advice of other schools career planners and worked my own class schedule. If you have any trouble and need tech assistance, don't expect it to be prompt. Their phone system has been down for months and will probably never be up. I'm taking this Eng 1-A course and can tell you the teacher is HORRIBLE. First day of class based on his curriculum we were supposed to review IMPORTANT key concepts of the course, we did...most of them. But the entire 2 hours of class (with no brakes) was all about his fkn broken knee, kids and his poor Spanish learned through his Spanish wife. Oh, and sports, and mind you when half your class or more, is composed of some of us females who can care less about how much you like to handle balls, it becomes irrelevant and a waste of your time to have to listen to this douche. To top it off, arrogance seems to be his only skill. Do not expect help from this guy. Save yourself the trouble and go to another school. Unless you want the mediocre teaching approach this school encourages, and not learn a damn thing before you transfer to a REAL university, then so be it. Stay mediocre. I'm stuck with it cause I had to pay $450 tuition and missed the deadline for cancellation. But if you can, RUN and don't look back!!

Question
I hate with a passion how hard itAveragePublic Health
I hate with a passion how hard it is to get some damn help at this school. They never answer the phone, so I don't know why they have a number. My counselor enrolled me in all the wrong classes. When you try to see a counselor, there are people sitting in the hallway floor waiting for 4-5 hours to see one of the two counselors. Then the staff is rude as all hell. My financial aid award letter should have come through, but its 6 days before school, and haven't heard a word. The financial aid office, just rushes through people. They truly do not try to help

Question
The quality of education of RCC is notNot so bright
The quality of education of RCC is not that bad. You will be somewhat prepared for any school that you are transferring to. However, the faculty and admin staff are just hopeless. Most of the teachers except quite few are just ignorant and don't care about students at all. I have met some teachers who make you feel stupid for asking questions and they expect more from students than they can offer in their teaching. It's horrendous. What's worse is the services that you get from admin people. You have to do all by yourself. There is no such thing as "service" or "help" Those admin people are lazy and have no idea what their jobs are so you have to go around explain them like five times even when you get a simple stuff done like getting a transcript or a letter. Wonder how they get paid for what they do when they do absolutely nothing!
