SJSU does not care about anything except for money. Period. Comparing to the community colleges around the area they should not be charging as much and I will tell you why. They charge high amounts of money and yes you do get great professors and classes(same as any other schools) but that is about it. I guess the ECO pass they give you is just a excuse of why they charge so high but probably only about less than 1/3 of the students uses it. Other than that, nothing. I do not mind that they take the money you pay for great professors and classes. What I do mind is that they keep the school in very poor condition. SJSU always paint and clean the outside to make it look good but they don't take care of the inside or anything else. I went to class on the 3rd floor when it was raining and there was 4 buckets on tables and chairs to collect water leaking in!! I have NEVER seen a school in such bad condition in this area. I mean if I am paying so much money to attend this school at least make it worth my money!! They make it look good just to trap you in. SJSU website also is bad. There are so many bad links and information is a bit hard to find. They will make you go from one site to the other and dig deep inside just to find something you want. The student services center are not very good as well, they take along time to do things and you constantly have to monitor or check because it can be ignored or lost. Don't get me wrong, there are a few people in there that are great but for others, some can't even answer your questions. The overall education you get at SJSU is not very good as well. They will make you pay for everything that you need to use. Some of the professors, counselors, etc, don't even seem like they want to help you or want to be there. What you think SJSU loves their students and will go out of their way to get you the education you deserve? Think again. In my opinion, sjsu is not worth the credit and praise that they get. I get better value, quality, learning environment, and overall college experience at the community colleges around than at SJSU. I do not recommend ANYONE to attend SJSU untill they get their acts together make SJSU a real university. I hope this review helps all of you on deciding which college to go to.

The professors and classes I've had have been great. It's the people that deal with transcripts and graduation that you have to worry about. I've been at SJSU for a year and they still haven't put my transcripts in the system. Also you need to apply for graduation a year before you want to graduate. No one tells you that either, I heard it from another student. I called my graduation adviser and found out that she was still working on people that are suppose to graduate Summer 2007. Uh... we're already in Fall 2007. Wish me luck.

Super Brilliant
I always worry that I may not be able to graduate from San Jose State University. No, it's not the faculty, and it's certainly not the school work. It's the Student Service Center! Its incompetence is lengendary. The professors is the Political Science Department are very approachable and friendly. Still, I'm planning to transfer to another university. My experience with the Student Service Center has been nerve wrecking. Once, my graduation progress report indicated that I have a minor in Business! I had to make phone calls and send e-mails, just to find out what the heck was going on. I was pushed around before I could get any answers on the error that appeared on records. To make the story short, the explanation I got from the Student Service Center was phony. It's so ironic that San Jose State University, having located in Silicon Valley, can be so out of touch with technology. Few days ago, I requested for a transcript via fax. However, knowing the blunders the Student Service Center is capable of creating, I sent an e-mail to find out if they've got the fax that I sent. In my e-mail, I included my student identity number. Alas, an identity mixed up! I was mistaken for another student! I was more horrified, however, to see the address of the student who I was mistaken for, revealed in the e-mail. I worry that the Student Service Center would deny my graduation someday, simply because no one in the Center told me that I needed more units, or that I needed to take some other classes in order to graduate.
