......The only thing I regret is that my program is not on the front page list....that was one thing you felt here, but not too often. The Computer Support Technology program is new and little known to potential students. I am forunate for the opportunity of both knowledge in the Computer field and aquiring my A.S. degree, but when you there for one REASON and one reason only...sucess. The instructors and advisors there won't let you forget how well your doing. I find the comment left by the prior individual misleads to the full extent and is improper. The one thing I wasn't not too enthused about, was the surprisingly high price I'd have to pay for this education, and not only that, if I'm paying for my education and decide to dress in the MOST professional manner, such as a shirt and tie just as I did day in and day out. Why can't we?? When you dress for sucess your demeaner and professionalism are at it's highest peak. So, not allowing a student that RIGHT is confusing to me, especially since I was one of just a few who wore shirt and ties, BUT I was the only one that wore a shirt and tie daily. And food for thought: The only Instructors that wore ties at SJVC Visalia, were all four in my program Computer Support Technology. That has tell you something they led by example....an example I followed with great sucess. I have 3 months of school left, and I want it to end sooner, you know, just get it over with.....think what you will, but the main reason is:I'M NOT ALLOWED TO DRESS IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER IN A PROFESSIONAL SETTING.My name is Julian Perez and I enrolled in SJVC Visalia for one reason to better myself and build a sucess orientated state of mind. I never would've thought a person could be restricted from wearing a shirt and tie. I came to class daily in a shirt and tie for 8-9 months......figure that one out.

I'm in the dental hygiene prgram, which yes is very expensive compared to other community colleges. But before you get turned away from the cost, look at the numbers and stats of dental hygiene students passing the sate board at the other college. The numbers are very low, while SJVC has great records on student success. It is extremely hard to get accepted to this program, but it is a great program and I would never want to go anywhere else. I just know about the dental hygiene program, but nothing about the other programs.
