| I am a online student. I was very careful when choosing an online school due to accedidation and found that SJVC was very creditable. I have tried attending tradtional classes at local community colleges in Michigan, but I could never get the classes I needed when I could go due to work and home life. SJVC staff is super friendly, focus on my work and if I am having any problems. |
This may be a jr. college, but it does fall in the same high standards of the local community college in my area.
I love the fact that I can tie in and do class work on my schedule not someone else. Last week I was sick and I could make lecture, but able to tie in view it. If I want to submit my papers at 2am in the morning when I get up for work, I can I don't have to wait to go to class.
I am currently working in the Medical field and gaining the experience and better understanding of all the class work.
The plus of SJVC over a vocational school is that the college credits transfer, maybe a few won't but after putting to children through very well know colleges already, not all credits transfer for all school anyway.I can not say enough good about SJVC so far..I hope to teach for them one day.

| The aviation campus is horrible. Fininancial aid is a complete mess, holds back payments and forgets to submit paperwork, when questioned about that, students are spoken to in a condencending manner. All but one instructor are incompetient, unorganized, condencending, and suffer from extreme power trips. Any movement to make life on campus more tollerable is met with dissaproval and denies. Director has no control over school. Instructors can sway his decision towards their own desires. Equipment and tools are below subpar. Do not attend this campus. Its not worth the money. |
