 | Quite Bright | When i first came to Saint Mary's, I thought it was going to be very challenging and there would be no time for social interactions with friends. I soon found out that at Saint Mary's, you can find a balance between the two. The town of Moraga is probably one of the most beautiful, yet most boring towns in california, however the surrounding cities provide plenty of night life. The people really are fun, but Public Safety allows for no big parties on campus. I can say I am happy that I went to Saint Mary's, however I would not say that I got my money's worth. Total expenditures during my four years at Saint Mary's were over $130,000. So just think about... If a small campus is what you need and you can fork out the money for it, Saint Mary's is a great school for you. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Surrounding City: D | | | |

| | Bright | Excellent school. A small setting, but you feel like a person. You get kind of spoiled there, however. It's a difficult transition into the real world. However, the education prepares you for life. You come out with an acute understanding of the big picture and are able to think critically. The classes overlap; I always found a common theme. The teachers will do anything to help you in your classes and there are many amazing classes. The core of the school is based on a seminar program (i.e. "great books") and you learn to write well and think clearly. After taking those classes and a few business classes, I was able to do well in Law School. | Campus Aesthetics: A+, Extracurricular Activities: B- | | | |

| | Bright | I am currently enrolled in the extension program for working adults out of the Sacramento extension center for SMC. Except for the commute from Stockton, there were not many colleges which could accomodate an adult father of four, with a full time job to finish his degree. SMC's School of Extended Ed made this not only possible but actually pleasant and stimulating. Except for one class which the Prof seemed to be skating the faculty was very enthusiastic and interested in involving the students. The class size of 12 got along well and staying together as a cohort was socially a plus. Although we rarely made the trek to Moraga, the main campus is absolutely gorgeous. However the Sacramento classes are held in a office building but what can you expect? If you are an adult professional who never finished your degree, look at this program, especailly if you want to attend classes once a week but need face to face interaction. | Campus Aesthetics: A+, Social Life: C | | | |
