My experience at SMC was very positive. The educational environment is very interactive and students are expected to participate. The small class sizes and accessible professors result in excellent classroom discussions. The liberal arts and religious background of the college provided great balance to my major (business). There are bigger name schools in the Bay Area, but SMC provides students with a college community that can not be matched.
Faculty Accessibility: A+, Social Life: F

When i first came to Saint Mary's, I thought it was going to be very challenging and there would be no time for social interactions with friends. I soon found out that at Saint Mary's, you can find a balance between the two. The town of Moraga is probably one of the most beautiful, yet most boring towns in california, however the surrounding cities provide plenty of night life. The people really are fun, but Public Safety allows for no big parties on campus. I can say I am happy that I went to Saint Mary's, however I would not say that I got my money's worth. Total expenditures during my four years at Saint Mary's were over $130,000. So just think about... If a small campus is what you need and you can fork out the money for it, Saint Mary's is a great school for you.
Faculty Accessibility: A+, Surrounding City: D
