Positive Negative Neutral Advice
The Good: Professors are good and competent andQuite BrightNursing
The Good: Professors are good and competent and will prepare you for the Nursing Liscense Exam. The Admin always seems interested in what we're happy/unhappy with. The Bad: Rarely, do they actually do anything with your feedback. They have a bunch of incompetent admin there, people who can't use technology and don't get back to you. They place some people at amazing clinical sites and others at ones that are no good. They don't switch people necesasrily to even the experience out. They say one thing and do another. They don't place people in clinical sites fairly ie. some people end up getting a 5 star experience all year because they're at a great hospital. Some people get a poor experience because they're at a bad hospital. And, its expensive, so what you end up is a small portion of the class getting a great education and the rest of the people not. But, we're all paying the same price. They were dealing this year with a reduction in the number of clinical sites and hours, but they didn't respond by decreasing the class size, so we just get less clinical hours than the previous classes. They even made the next class just as big.

Question
Now SMU, very unorganized.Quite BrightNursing
Now SMU, very unorganized. Nursing Clinicals also very unkrganized and not very much teaching went on because either instructors were not around or too tired. If one goes to SMU you need to have prior medical education or experience. Those are the students that are catered to. Those, like me, with no prior experience, were compared against the others and treated and even told we were dumb. Hello, we were there to learn! Now SMU has expanded campuses and programs? I cannot begin to believe they suddenly got organized. Oh, and expert to be treated at the bottom of the higherarchy. Podiatristy students at SMU are better treated than nursing students. Good luck.

Question
Far too expensive forQuite BrightNursing
Far too expensive for the poor quality. There are a few profs who really care and do a fantastic job. The administrative heads are useless.
