 | Quite Bright | Sonoma State may not have the best party scene, or the best social aspects but your time there is definitely what you make of it. I had the time of my life there. I had the best 4 years, made friendships that will last me a lifetime and got an great education for a great value. Sonoma has some of the best, intelligent, and well rounded professors i've seen at schools. So remember this. You get what you put in! | Preparedness: C, Reputation: D | | |

| | Quite Bright | | SSU is a very good school academically with small class sizes. i have also had a good amount of professors who really know how to teach so students can understand the material. i'm on the men's soccer team here and our team has done phenomenal. Last year we won 17 games in a row which is the best record at SSU. men's lacrosse and baseball are big here too. this is a really great school and the professors, students, and faculty are very friendly. it's really easy to get involved in anything whether it's greek, sports, clubs, organizations, etc. i think SSU is underrated and not given the credit it deserves. the social life here is great too and san fran is close along with tahoe if you like to ski or snowboard. | Friendliness: A, Surrounding City: B | | | |

| | Quite Bright | | Look, if you want to go to a party school, go to UCSB or SDSU. Sonoma isn't for you. But no one makes it a secret that SSU isn't a party school. All these people are posting reviews at how disappointed they are with the social life...who did you talk to that gave you the idea that this place is hoppin'? Sonoma is an amazing school. The professors and students are friendly and extremely helpful, and even the faculty/staff are very helpful if you treat them with respect. They do everything they can to get you out within four years (in a good way). No, Rohnert Park isn't the greatest city in the world, but if you just sit in your dorm all the time and wait for someone to come entertain you, you'll hate just about any school. Go out and find something to do. Santa Rosa and Petaluma are lots of fun, and it's not like San Francisco is really all that far away. | Education Quality: A+, Surrounding City: D+ | | | |
