La Verne is a pretty descent school.Quite BrightComputer Science
La Verne is a pretty descent school. I really don't like it here. La Verne was my third choice. I couldn't get into my first choice and my second choice was a little too expensive that's how I ended up here. La Verne will be better if the teachers were fair in grading. I don't think people go to school to get graded based on their skin color or financial status. La Verne also seem more like throwing money away. I'm a computer science major and all the stuff they teach is almost useless. When I talk to professionals in the field and tell them what I learn in school i get mocked. The football team is another disaster. Don't get me wrong the players great but there's nothing to show for it. I really don't know why a team will loose all games for two or three seasons and still maintain the same coach. where I come from if you don't do your job you get fired. I guess he is obviously doing his job. finally La Verne has little or no social activities, nothing really happens on that campus. The school charges so much in tuition and cannot even put up a show or any activities for the students. They are just eating up all the money. I guess that's why the teachers and faculty keep getting fatter and fatter. If you just want to graduate and have that brown paper that's says BSC or BA la verne is for you. but if you want to really want to get the original collge/Univerity feel, have quality education and also have that brown paper, when you get a brochure in the mail from La Verne, write a big FUCK U and send it back.

I attended one ofBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I attended one of the many satellite campuses that ULV is partnered with. I found the staff & students to be helpful & friendly. Not to mention my advisor was an angel! They definitely strive to help you as a person, and not as a number.

I believe my educational experience at University OfNot so bright
I believe my educational experience at University Of Laverne, has enlightened my ability to puruse my goals. It is true the school lacks prestige, however the faculty are working diligently to compensate for this conflict. I am confident among other things, I will achieve more from this University then, I did from Cal State University Northridge.
