Many of the instructors have poor qualifications and can be vindictive and unsupportive. Ths campus is very small and extremely BORING if you live in the dorms. It is a Ghost Town on weekends because most students go home for the weekend. The only "social" thing would be to go to a frat party off campus. 90% of the students are commuters, so you feel like the school doesn't care about the students who live in the dorms. The school's technolgy is not up to 2010 standards. The internet in the dorms is incrediably slow, there aren't any lounges on the floors, and there is no security in the dorms, unless you call a guard sitting in the one and only lounge watching TV security! The food in the cafe is HORRIBLE and it closes very early, especially on weekends. You really need a car here to get off campus to get food and entertainment! The support staff is totally unqualified to help a student and they promise you a Peer SOAR mentor your fall semester freshman year, but this never happened! It is defiantely horrible to live in the dorms and the classes can be terrible if you get certain instructors. This is like a very small community college with dorms.

Cal Arts has the oldest equipment, to learn any NEW tchnology save your money. You when learn NOTHING that any industry uses. I deeply regret supporting my husband going to this deception of CAL ARTS. If they have such a wide selections of applicants all over the world, that's misleading. The price you pay for a so-called private college is not worth the paper your grad cert is. Save your money DON'T WASTE IT A POORLY RUN(DOWN) SCHOOL. Long Beach and many others L.A. art colleges are affordable and you are able to get fit quailfying employment. I took us seven years to pay for TWO semesters. CAL Arts does not impress anyone. In fact, I would not mention it. What I know for sure now... Is NEVER listen to my husband, without thoroughly checking everything out, of what he is wanting to pursue. BIG, BIG BIG MISTAKE! DO NOT GO TO WASTE YOUR MONEY, unless adminstration cuts prices and UPDATES EVERYTHING. The old methods CAL ART are not valuable at any company. You will not get hired get hired at Disneyland, the father of Cal Arts.
