Look, I'm not going to sugar coat anything. Bel-Rea is NOT for the faint hearted. When you go on tour the Reps make it sound so wonderful but what they fail to mention (probaly because they were never a student there) is that it's extremely challenging. I'm two quarters away from finishing and I can't wait!! I love the school but the work load is intense. Forget a social life, it doesn't happen. There is a lot of information that you have to learn within 10 weeks (a quarter). It's definitely rewarding and when you do well you know that means something because at Bel-Rea you cannot "survive" as they say with other schools. You can only succeed. In this school its all about knowing what you're doing not what you memorized. I'm very happy that I've made it this far, I plan to go on to a 4 year college and I know it's going to be cake compared to what I had to do at Bel-Rea. Don't come to school here if you can't handle it :p

This shcool is a total rip off. I would highly advise going to another institute. Not only does it charge way to much but the hands on and so called quality education is almost hard to be found. Don't get sucked into the tv commercial or anything at that. Go to another university not only will you get your money's worth you will have a much higher success rate of going on to another school for bigher education.

I am very proud of the education that I recieved at Bel-Rea. It has helped me in many ways, because of the specialized program and the reputation that the school has, I feel that I have been able to succeed at a higer level than I would have if I had gone to a community college with a vet tech program. Because it is only a vet tech school, every class you take is specalized for veterianary technology. From math to chemistry to anatomy. You are not just taking gen eds and adapting them to animal science. The program is very rigerous being that each class is only 10 weeks long. But it is well worth it and I feel that I was completely prepared for the national exam. I graduated in March and in June I took the exam, barely studied at all and passed with a 98%! All thanks to the excellent education I got at Bel-Rea.

The school doesn't look like much but it has everything you need for a great education. Being in Denver, it is surrounded by tons of clinics to do your internships at and see how it is out in the real world. Besides the fact that Denver is such an amazing place to live by itself!Being that about 80% of the students are from out of state and there is no campus housing the school does a good job of connecting students to find roomates. It was fun to meet people from all over the country interested in the same field. But be warned that many people couldn't hack it and two of my roomates flunked out. So, if you just like cute kittens and puppies this is not the place for you!
