Naropa is not for everyone, and on some level not for anyone who intends their college degree to give them any sort of career boost. So go to Naropa as an end unto itself. Don't go thinking it will give you an experience comparable to a more conventional college. If you want to learn more about Buddhism, meditation, etc., go to college elsewhere and find the resources there. Naropa is for people in the later stages of life, not for young people. Many people there are searching, some quite desperately, for meaning and significance in chaotic and confusing lives. Another review on this site made reference to a significant proportion of the student body being mentally ill--believe it!

Super Brilliant
Naropa University is a place where style is more important than substance - where yuppies congregate and skeptics of any sort are shunned. It has this cultish, brainwashed feel towards it that really creeps any normal person out...

Super Brilliant
-- I wanted to say that I feel very lucky to be at Naropa University where there is a beautiful community of artists and social activists. I feel that the faculty members care deeply about the students and are highly qualified , intelligent and caring human beings. Furthermore I feel that the faculty are constantly engaged in revisiting and improving the course materials in order to provide a challenging and grounded experience for students, and to prepare them for work in their field.
Innovation: A+, University Resource Use: B
