Positive Negative Neutral Advice
This advice mostly applies to freshmen living inQuite BrightPolitical Science
This advice mostly applies to freshmen living in on-campus housing (non-commuter students), but take what you will from it. The campus food is actually fairly decent. The biggest issue that DU has is campus safety. There were some pretty serious issues on campus this year that, in my opinion, should have never happened and should have been handled differently. Campus housing is also really good and there are a few different options for freshmen living on-campus. My main piece of advice is for any freshman considering applying to join a Living Learning Community (LLC). While living on one of the LLC floors can be an academically-enriching and fun experience, it is also an environment that can become somewhat hostile or cliquey. When you all live on the same floor together and you take a class together every quarter and attend events together, you don't often get a break from the LLC, which can become an issue if your floor doesn't really become a ?community?. Don't get me wrong, the LLC program is a really awesome experience, but I just caution anyone considering it before you commit to joining one.

I have been totally disappointed by DU.BrightOther
I have been totally disappointed by DU. I would say academically it has been good, and the professors, for the most part, are helpful. The one major thing that is super tough is the quarter system. We are constantly crammed trying to get everything done in a rush, which is not fair to people who learn at a slower pace. But, the worst part is the student body. The students here are super aloof, unapproachable, and arrogant. The social scene is not what I expected either: the parties are just not fun and Greek life here is a joke. I wasn't expecting a huge Greek or party scene, but it is really lacking here. I know many of my friends here agree with me, and are considering transferring, as am I. I will say though, Denver is a wonderful city and I will miss it. But, I just cannot recommend DU; it promised so much, yet it did not deliver.

Denver is a nice campus with good people.BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Denver is a nice campus with good people. Besides that the school low key sucks. The teachers are not good to say the least besides a select few. And the school administration is horrendous. Safety is a joke, be prepared to get campus safety alerts four times a week telling you to get to the nearest building and lock the door because some creep is roaming campus. Denver is either a hit or miss, as you can probably tell i missed hard.
