The worst possible, expensive, school to go to. People that go here may get an education but the worst college experience. Least diverse school in CT. Staff sucks. No help what so ever...ever since open house why I went here was cuz the campus was pretty and close to new haven...but college is about making friends that can last life time...not here. Kids that come here are the most low class group of people around. State schools of CT have much better reputation of kids. Should have sticked with University of Bridgeport switching soon...Diversity is not

THESE COMMENTS ARE TRUE! If you are a white girl/close that wears uggs, likes to party, and was popular in highschool and got accepted to QU then please disregard this. Also, if you are a guy who was popular, sporty, somewhat smart, likes to get drunk and HOPE to bang as many willing girls as possible then also feel free to disregard this comment. I came to this school after I had read these comments and truly regret ever having done so. Most of the people here are white, closeminded, drunken sex-fiends who vibe off of each other. They go out every Thursday, Friday, etc. and then attend Mass on Sunday as if nothing happened the night before(cough *screwed somebody while plastered* cough). After being here for one semester as a freshmen, I have discovered that the majority of these people are automatons: they use their genitals as their brains and their priority appears to be where the next drink is going to come from. Honestly if you don't mind making VERY few friends who aren't as guido-whore scene as the cookie-cutter girls and guido-steroid guys here, and you only care about the academic orientation of this school then please by all means come here. However, if you are a minority, don't drink or do drugs, have a brain that you plan to use in your classes, are a girl and don't own a pair of uggs because a)you don't care about them or b)you can't afford them, and like listening to music that isn't Miley Cyrus or America-Top-40 Hip Hop as well as wearing clothes outside of the preppy look then DO NOT COME HERE. There aren't cliques at this school so if you are a preppy-rich kid then you'll fit right in to the singular clique of this school. However, I'm pretty sure that half of my class has conformed to the aspects of the social scene that is Quinnipiac. Drinking/getting completely zonked is a HUGE QU aspect. Honestly, some of the people in my class have turned into alcoholics. A girl that I talked to at orientation and later found out was a cookie-cutter party girl claimed to seldomly drink and found doing drugs to be unforgivable. Not she is an alcoholic who hooks up with random guido boys and has tried on several occasions, drugs. If you want to have friends here then you cannot tell acquaintances that you don't drink, otherwise they'll stare at you as though you have three heads. You might find what is called "The Wellness Residence Hall" in which drugs and alcohol is not allowed however the people that live there all claim to be miserable because they go out and party regardless and would rather live in a normal residence hall where they have access to their juice. The way these people act honestly sickens me. Other than these negatives, QU does live up to its outstanding academic orientation. Events on campus are decent (however the frats suck), as well as the food. However, the food is ridiculously overpriced (four dollars for a cup of grapes?) and soon you'll see the same (eventually crappy) thing for lunch, dinner, and the next day. The school isn't necessarily racist (ie: the faculty is not); it is the people that attend this school that make it racist. The sports-scene here SUCKS! Everyone is crazy about hockey and no one attends anything else. There are signs up in every building talking about QU Spirit. THERE IS NO SPIRIT HERE! If you aren't a conformist, white, rich, or a hockey fanatic do not come here unless you are very independent and only care about your education. If so, the faculty in general is excellent and you will really stretch your potential here. I've only been here for one semester and I would transfer if I could, however I would be either extremely foolish or extremely lucky to give up the scholarship I received and move on somewhere else. Heed my warning and save your money for a college that is hopefully better than this bowl of defecation that is the social scene of Quinnipiac University.

I am currently a freshman here at quinnipiac and I can honestly say that I regret coming here. Now don't get me wrong the campus is beautiful, my teachers I have had have been great, and the housing is awesome. Yet the problem for me lies within the actual student body. If you want to come to a place with no diversity where everyone is white and rich than that's fine. But for me I want to actually meet someone who isn't from new york, new jersey, massachusetts, or connecticut. Also there is a mentality around campus where I feel that work comes second partying and drinking. I don't feel that paying 45,000 a year is worth the money for a school with average academics and a homogeneous student body. Lastly I feel as if there is no school pride and the sporting events aren't well attended unless we are playing a rival school such as yale. If you want to go to a school where everyone is white, rich, loves to party, and don't really care about academics then come here.
