I love UB, love it. I worked on Capital Hill for several years and am a returning adult student. I felt I got a great education with small class sizes and teachers that totally care. I loved this school and the professors and advisors really helped me get through my 4 years. The campus is like the UN its a global village. Close to New York, go to Broadway and see shows, and great for finance students internships.

The only reason you should ever go to UB is if you are a local person looking to major in one of their (very few) good programs. Dental Hygiene is the only actually good program there, and thats simply because there are not alot of dental hygiene schools. The University itself looks horrible, there is nothing to do, the campus security is a joke (fat old men who couldn't walk more than 200 feet without stopping for a cigarette) and to top it all off, most of the science department can't speak english (engrish to them). The surrounding town is a cesspool whose crown jewel is a lousy mall. For what they charge in tuition, one of two things becomes painfully obvious. That either the bulk of the tuition goes to the university's pockets, or they lose it shooting craps in the ghetto's surrounding the University. If you're not going for Dental Hygiene, or one of the other unique majors offered there, do not bother. Look elsewhere and save some money while you're at it.
