I am currently a freshman at this school class of 2016 and I would have to say this was the worse choice of my life. To begin with this school was a backup, as it was for many people at the school now. I am transferring out thank God. But please do not go there. Yes you will most likely get a scholarship, as does everyone. That is how the school gets you to go there then once you go, you want to live and you mostly likely can't depending on your major because the credits won't transfer for no reason. The school is very expensive for no reason, the dorm are horrible, greek life is wack. No school spirit. If you are looking for the typical college experience with parties, school spirit, and greek life at a big or medium school then this is not for you.

I have a security guard as witness to Marcia Lorentzen of the Dental hygiene department lying to cover her co-workers in purposely failing me.She was supposed to "thoroughly" check my academics with my rotation instructors, but she couldn't name 2 out of 3 instructors correctly. The DH department is the worst place in UB. I actually dropped out of college because of them. If you call campus security and ask for Lt. Loehn ask about what happened 2013 January with a gentleman expressing his emotions. Bet he would word for word repeat the mentioned above. My teachers would tell my class of 50 other girls of my smoking and drinking habits, make jokes of it personally but they never did it to the girls. This is by far my WORST investment in my life, second to setting money on fire, I probably would have at least known why my money is gone

I attended the Dental Hygiene Program here (because it is the first in the country and I thought it would be the best), but left the school disgruntled after sticking it out for one semester. While some of the teachers can be nice and friendly, others were just awful. They could come off as condescending and you were expected to "know" the material immediately, even if they failed to teach it properly. Also, how is it possible that I managed to get all "f"s in one class, yet my final grade was a "c" for that class? Something seems fishy there. I felt like nobody was willing to help me out and teach me. While attending, I was in a constant state of stress and frustration. I have never given up on something once I have set my mind on it, but this school was so terrible that I had to get out. Upon withdrawing, I also lost my $6,000 financial "award". The streets surrounding the school flood with heavy rain, so there is no way to make it to class. The area isn't that safe, even though they will give you a personal alarm for the illusion of safety; you should stay on campus. I would never recommend this school to anybody. The quality of education is poor. Stick to a community college and then do your research and go elsewhere. This school is too expensive to be in the poor condition it is in and to take this much money from students in exchange for the lousy education that you will receive is just robbery. Do yourself a favor an look up the retention rate of this school and take a tour before you commit to it. I wish I had seen an honest review such as this before I had attended.
