College is a comprehensive leading post-secondary institution with a reputation for excellence in teaching and service. International students are assisted by a knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff providing support in admissions, advising, registration, counselling, orientation and homestay. There are approximately 8,000 students attending classes on two campuses. International students make up about 7% of the student population.

The college offers over 70 diploma and certificate career programs in areas of arts including applied communication and visual arts, business –business administration, tourism and travel; health and human services –early childhood education; engineering technology – environmental technology, electronics engineering technology and computer engineering technology; and vocational trades training. It also offers all levels of ESL and academic English courses, college upgrading, university preparation, university transfer courses and associate degrees.

The college is located in the popular tourist destination city of Victoria – the capital of British Columbia. Victoria is only 1.5 hrs from Vancouver by ferry. This beautiful city is accessible to many outdoor sporting activities including hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, water skiing, sailing, horseback riding and mountain biking, and provides an active music, arts & culture scene as well.
