I chose to go to Western randomly.Quite BrightLanguage - French/Spanish/etc.
I chose to go to Western randomly. I had never visited the school because it was too far away (I am from Victoria BC. Naturally, this made me nervous until I actually moved into rez. Since day one, UWO has been my home. This doesn't mean that I haven't had hard spots to work through. This is typical and it is unrealistic to expect to find the "perfect" university. Here are five reasons why I love Western.

1) It's fun and there is spirit.
2) teachers are accesible not matter what class size. In first year Poli Sci I was shocked when the head prof responded to my email within 20 minutes!

3) Rez life is special
4) The gym is very large and offers free fitness classes to students all day5) It's a community

Western is a wonderful school and I honestlyQuite BrightMusic - Performance
Western is a wonderful school and I honestly couldn't imagine going anywhere else. The campus is beautiful no matter the season and even though it's a big campus, it doesn't always feel that way. The campus is super well maintained and there are many precautions taken for the safety of students.

London itself isn't the nicest of places, but I come from a pretty high income town. There is plenty of nightlife and being a Western student comes with party people stereotypes. This is oftentimes true, but it is also possible to find other students who'd rather more low-key events. Western profs are always there to help with almost anything, and are often very tolerant of questions in lectures, no matter how absurd. I extremely recommend Western!!

It is not a great University especially forBrightBiology
It is not a great University especially for International students.
Firstly, the residence department is pathetic. They are very partial to Canadian students are very rude. They are never ready to listen to one's need in residence.

Secondly, the academics is also ok-ok. Nothing great. Huge classes are a disadvantage. Also, they are not very interesting which is a discouragement for students.

Lastly, the administrative part is also terrible. If for problem one goes to a department (which one will think is the right place), they ask you to go to another department and that another department will ask you to go to the some other department and that some other department will as you to go to the first department and you keep roaming like that through out your life. I wasted my one month like that. Trust me it is my worst experience in life. And if you do not drink, you do not have a social life here. You are just locked up in your room doing nothing.
