School environment lacks social cohesion.Social Work
School environment lacks social cohesion. Students are aloof and obsessed with academics. The culture of the school is very isolating. There is a lot of hype about the schools programs and coop, however, the school seldom boasts about its lack of integration and high incidences of gender based violence. Not a good step in a positive university experience.

Question
This school is absolutely rubbish if you wantMechanical Engineering
This school is absolutely rubbish if you want to learn from it. To be honest the only reason that anyone should choose this school is for its coop program. The professors are impossible to learn from (due to accents and teaching methods), unapproachable and quite frankly don't give have a sh*t about teaching. They make it very clear that they would rather be doing their "research". Do not come to this university if you expect a learning environment.

Simple advice: if you are considering going toQuite BrightComputer Science
Simple advice: if you are considering going to UW for Computer Science, stop yourself from making that decision. This school is horrible. Exams contain topics never shown in class, assignments are intentionally made ridiculously difficult - and as such are not an extension of what you are learning but a cheap excuse to waste your time. The professors are not helpful when you go to them with questions and it is obvious that the University only cares about taking your money. Don't waste your time and money. Go somewhere else
