AU, as an experience, is, well, special.Quite BrightPolitical Science
AU, as an experience, is, well, special. While the faculty is incredible, the students are arrogant. There isn't a big social scene, and do not plan on being able to approach people. The quality of classes depends a lot on the school you go to-Public Affairs is tough, and can be v. competitive, while Communication has easier classes and is more laid-back.

Question
I actually graduated in 2002, but there isJournalism
I actually graduated in 2002, but there is no option for that one. I had a great time in college - AU is not the school for those who want to spend their Sunday afternoon cheering on the home football team and tapping the keg at the frat house. AU is ideal for those who like to get out in the city, hang out off campus, enjoy the occasional frat party (again, off campus though), are not looking for huge school spirit and like to have a life independent of school. I found the professors helpful and most of my friends are those that I met at AU; I still live in the area, but feel as though most of my experiences at college were those "life-building" ones rather than academic -- I think that's what college is about, though, and being in DC really made it easier to transition to "real life" after graduation rather than being stuck at a college in the middle of nowhere and having to move home (shudder) after four years.

Question
This school is nice because, for one thing,BrightOther
This school is nice because, for one thing, it is in washington dc and there is always something to do. the city is a great resource that is taken advantage of alot. the school also has noce facilities and good programs in feilds like international relations, political science, econ and justice law and society, but it is really expensive and some of the people here are really snooty and shallow.
