Bright
Georgetown is an amazing school. I have fallen in love with Washington DC. There are so many great places to go - shopping, restaraunts, bars, dancing, shows, monuments, museums - not to mention the overwhelming professional opportunities for internships, especially if you're into politics. Even if you're not into that (like me - English major), I don't feel out of place at all.

The best part of Geogetown is definitely the students and professors. Campus is tight-knit, students are friendly and helpful, and life is overall enjoyable. I would only consider a handful of people I know really competitive, but the vast majority of people work together on projects and essays and such. SFSers tend to be the more competitive bunch, but all of the people I know in the SFS are awesome and chill people.

Georgetown's the perfect mix of work and play. Sure, the library will be full to the brink on a Sunday night with highly-caffeinated students, but at the same time you'll see kids huddled around a laptop watching youtube (my personal favorite method of procrastination). Basically, Georgetown rocks. Come.

Not so bright
I'm not sure this was put into the previous comment. Do not work to get in here. Go to a cheaper school. This was not my first choice school and came here because I am from a small town, am used to smaller schools, but am also open to experience (i.e. Northern Californian). Thus, I came to the east coast. If you are from California, I do not recommend it. It is a much more stressful and thus depressing environment. The work is superfluous, redundant, and unenlightened. Things have not changed here in way too long. Georgetown needs to catch up with the rest of the world. My mind has been too many out-dated ideas and youth is quite ignored. One class I have received benefit from is actually in education. Happiness is sapped from everyone I seem to meet. I have only made it to my senior year because of a little underground group of friends, who are actually genuine. It is a mildly sexist and racist atmosphere. As well as elitist.
