 | Quite Bright | | Alright. I'm an International Relations major, and I swear to God this school has ruined my love of learning as well as my desire to pursue a major in which I feel I can help people. If IAFF 005 doesn't kill you, the lack of resources after it and the massive amount of busywork professors have you complete will. Ha, either that or heart failure from drinking too much. I made the mistake of coming to this university with a few ideas in my head as to what I thought it would be like. I never visited campus, never spoke with alumni, and didn't contact current students. DO NOT DO WHAT I DID. If you visit campus, do so on a Thursday, spend the night, go to an early class on Friday, and count the hangovers. Definitely speak to current students. Most people here are incredibly wealthy. And even if they aren't incredibly wealthy, they and their parents have money. If you are below middle class, you're fucked, especially if you don't have a job or work study. The university is also really bitchy about financial aid. They lose forms (multiple times), have horrible attitudes, and do all they can to screw the students over. The only helpful department I've encountered is the UCC (University Counseling Center), insert irony here. Most of the negative posts are spot on. The school is full of ridiculously moneyed JAPs and WASPs whose only brain cell MIGHT be found in their reproductive organs, if it can even be found there. Hell, Dan from NYC Prep lives across the hall from my friend, and he's the epitome of most of the student body: vapid, rich, and useless. Also, GWU is a party school, do not let anyone tell you otherwise. People are sent to the hospital (emerge'd)every weekend and sometimes during the week for stumbling about drunk, whether they're actually in danger of alcohol poisoning or not. Clubs are fair game every night of the week, as is drinking and toking. I mean come on, students here celebrate Mad Mondays and Wicked Wednesdays in addition to their Thirsty Thursdays and Fucked-Up Fridays, not to mention every day in between. Oh yeah, and the meal-plan sucks ASS.That said, not everything here sucks. There are in fact some absolutely amazing, intelligent people here. You will not find them in the sororities, and you sure as Hell won't find them in most of the frats. There are a few people who know how to have fun without shitting their pants from drinking too much (true story) and who know the value of education and money. Example: If you get in and come up here during the April visits for admitted students, my friends and I are putting on a few shows for the new frosh, so look alive or you'll get beat the fuck up by Nerf guns. | Collaboration/Competitive: A+, Useful Schoolwork: F | | | |

| | Bright | This medical school thinks it's better than it is. The tuition forces military service, and if you don't you will be flayed alive. Being a Washington institution, anything could happen to you. Graduates accomplish the goals of the government, not of their own career desires. The experience is not worth the debt. Many of my frineds who went to other med schools, or did not attend college at all have fared better than I because of constant federal student loan harassments and exclusions from insurances. People who are "providers" of marijuana in california have better financial health. | Starting Job: drywall taper, Preparedness: A+, Reputation: F | | |
