Great college town! One of the best experiences you could have at any school. Stimulating, engaging students, a very solid education. Proud to be here. Never wanted the snooty Georgetown experience....sorry GT, I never applied to your school! This is a private, east coast school, so you're obviously going to get the wealthy-intense and overly concerned with dress & image, and of course self-inflated importance! But, regardless of that, there are "normal" people here and you have to find them. Again, solid education...wouldn't go anywhere else for undergrad.

So happy I came to GW but, it can be a bit intimidating in the beginning. A lot of wealthy kids go here but I agree with prior reviews, if you give it a little time, you can meet interesting, friendly people. By second semester you usually find your niche. The faculty is amazing and this year was the absolute best time to be in DC! The students are not afraid to party but are also very serious about their academics and internships.

Unless you are madly in love with this school, don't go. There is virtually no campus, only one cafeteria, and the freshmen dorms are just nauseating. It thinks it's an Ivy League school, but it's not. Lot of east coast jerks. Sorority life is big and competitive. School spirit is nonexistent. Lot of hardcore partiers. I really didn't like it.

If you love politics, come to GW. There is no better place to study then at GW and in DC. It's also the perfect balance between good academics and a great social and cultural life.
