Where do I start.... First of all...Strayer is the most money hungry school I've ever dealt with. They are quick to react and respond back to you when signing you up for classes, just so they can get your money. My story...I actually completed my courses Dec. of 2010, and have been going back and forth b/w the staff and Dean on when I will be receiving my diploma. It is now Sept. 2011, and I have yet to receive my paper and emailed the Dean once again. After my completion of my BBA in late December of 2010, I immediately went online to fill out my Graduation application and even paid $150 for processing...(and what does that include???). After more than 45k later, I'm still wondering where my diploma is. And on top of that, Salle Mae shows that Strayer reports me as withdrawn... WHATTTTT!!!!!!????!!! Also, I forgot to mention, when I first inquired about this issue (after 3 months of turning in my graduation application) they showed that I still needed to take 2 more classes, when I most definately had all my classes complete. Then they told me there was a glitch in the system and that they were going to open up a case to resolve it. After a few months later in May, the Dean says it's resolved and that it'll take a couple more weeks to confer my graduation (whatever that means). A month later, he says its been resolved and that was in June. Ok.....still waiting. I think Strayer has more than enough complaints against them....how can we turn this into a lawsuit???

The administration is slow in response. Any complaints made by you, resulted in them making me feel like I was just an idot without any education, though I'm a senior< they made me feel inferior.

I have read alot of the comments made about Strayer University and I still think it is a good school. I did attend college and like most dropped out. Why? Because college is demanding, challenging, engaging, and hard. Yet,I want to get my degree. If you want to get a degree, well you are going to have to earn it. This is with anything you do in life "You will get out of it exactly what you put into it". First, you should look at what the school is about. Strayer University is a business college and designed for the working adult. If you did NOT have any good study habits in high school then Strayer may not be the school for you. That goes for any college or university. Strayer provides a platform for you to abtain your degree however you have to earn it. The course work is demading and challenging. I have taken classes online and on campus. Personally, I think the classes online are more challenging, you have a lot of reading, posting discussions, quizzes, papers to write and finals to take. Well, the same can be said for the campus classes. So there you go...there is no getting around it, you got to work for that degree. As for the personnel in the Admission Office, they are friendly and helpful. I attend the Lithonia,GA campus and they have been helpful and easy to work with.
