DO NOT DO IT! Its the quick and easy way out of a graduate school. I have had to many problems to even begin. Miscommunication, deception to get you to sign up, poor customer service on most of the staffs end. Don't rush into this one. After 6 weeks already withdrawing due to poor class structure, no diversity in the classroom and just wasted time from class to class. They are very good at covering their behinds and you are at their mercy when it comes to refunds. If you have the will then go to a higher education institution and take as many classes needed to get yourself into a good program. They run this as a business not a school. Terrible service at best. The Raleigh Triangle branch at Morrisville got an F from me. But hey its not their problem.... $1,835 learning lesson on my end. Thanks for demotivating my long awaited return to school. I went to Strayer's satellite school in Morrisville for 3 semesters in the MBA program. I am in the minority here, but I was happy with the professors, and the learning environment as a whole. But they are not AACSB accredited, which is the 'gold standard' among MBA schools. If I am going to spend this kind of money for a MBA, it might as well be one that is AACSB accredited. Do yourself a favor, there are plenty of graduate schools that are not hard to get into, and have low GMAT requirements. If you are not a moron you should easily get a 500 on it after taking a GMAT prep course, which is above GMAT requirements of some MBA schools. For example, Elon University's GMAT average is 550, North Carolina Central University's GMAT average is 500. Don't get suckered into Strayer because they don't require a GMAT requirement! Don't have an urgent matter. Don't ask the Professor for assistance and the Dean. The Professor sends you to the guidance counselor and the Dean says you need to talk to the Professor. After contacting the Professor again he says he needs guidance from the Dean. I guess they don't know how to deal with matter that can affect students either way. After receiving my Bachelors degree, I spent a long time figuring out what I wanted to do before moving on to a Masters Degree program. Strayer University had extremely knowledgeable staff on campus as well as online. There was only one professor (online) that I found 'difficult' in that he didn't expand on the lectures or what was written in the book. Other than that, Strayer was a positive experience, a lot of hard work, but worth it. The student suport, financial aid support, and the registration and advisors are rude, not helpful, or just non-existant. Sure, they will seem supportive at first when you enroll. Please beaware that these are SALES people. Once you are a student you will not be given the time of day. No one will return your calls, answer your email, assist you with registration or advise you on classes. I took classes online. I actually attended the Strayer Campus in Charlotte NC. These guys are so concerned with how much money they obtained from their students not how much education they deliver. It is bad when you go to class and instead of educating, they take you on a field trip to the computer lab and have all the students go online to enroll for the next quarter. That is how class time was spent. I have made A's in classes and do not even know what the classes were about. The education quality is not what I expected and this school should not be recognized as an accredited university. I have even corrected most of my instructors on the test they made up. The online classes are not well prepared and the faculty are not very knowledgable. Student services needs to work on developing a personlity and stop treating us like we were in high school.
