Also, Newark and the surrounding community has a lot to offer as a city, there's more to it than just Main Street. As for safety and policing, the cops spend too much time curbing underage (and excessive) drinking than stopping real crime like robbery and burglary. Finally, if you do go to UD, STUDY ABROAD!! They offer 40+ programs a year in the winter, spring, summer, and fall. Surrounding City: A+, University Resource Use: B- Have a Question? There are active groups, yet some groups seem less available or are somewhat reserved and on the sidelines. In order to get involved in a group a student must go find it. There are a lot of North-Eastern Students here -- out of staters, and that tends to bring the friendliness average down. There are fewer Southerners or Westerners to bring that average up. Students are generally proud of who they are, yet a few go to the point of arrogance. Surrounding City: A-, Innovation: D Have a Question?
